Spiritual Focus of the Fast
? To develop, implement, guard and emphasize Sabbath rest in our lives.
? To discover “rest” as emphasized by Jesus.
? To devote ourselves to taking much better care of our bodies through greater
nutritional and physical fitness, so that we can be positioned for greater Kingdom
building.

Scriptural Focus of the Fast
Genesis 2:2-3; Matthew 11:28-30; Luke 10:25-28; I Corinthians 6:19-20

Daily Prayer
“My Lord and my God, I praise you and thank you for being the One True God, God
almighty! Thank you for creating us, thank you for your Son Jesus, who redeems us, and
thank you for your promised Holy Spirit, who sustains and strengthens us at all times and
in all ways. May we come to value Sabbath rest during and beyond this fasting season.
May we come to find and value the rest you freely give us from stress and strain. As You
daily mold and shape us into your perfect will, would you grant us even greater discipline
in our eating habits, and greater discipline in our exercise regimen, so that physically,
spiritually and emotionally, we can be at our best in holistic service to You and to others.
In the name of Jesus, we ask this of You, O God, for Your glory. AMEN.”

Disciples were known by name, they hung out with Jesus, they hung out with one another, they prayed and ate together, and they continued in His name when He was gone. Connect with a community that seeks to lead people to Christ-centered WHOLEness.
